Eiza González has shown her full support for her boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov after an unexpected injury forced him to withdraw from Wimbledon 2025 – just as he was leading by two sets against Italian player Jannik Sinner.

The Hollywood star went public with her relationship with the Bulgarian tennis player in May this year, sharing her happiness on social media.

In a story posted to her Instagram account, the Mexican actor shared an emotional message for her partner.

“Love of my life. I couldn’t be more proud of you. You’re are BEYOND outstanding, This is just a moment that will pass and will make you even stronger. But watching you today alongside the world was a reminder of who YOU are.

You’re a winner. We all saw it. And you’ll do it again. I love you,” wrote González.

Who is Grigor Dimitrov, Eiza González’s boyfriend?

Dimitrov is a professional tennis player from Bulgaria. Born in Haskovo, he picked up a racket at the age of five, coached by his father Dimitar, a tennis instructor, and inspired by his mother Maria, a sports teacher and former volleyball player. He finished his junior career in 2008 as the world No 3.

Over the years, Dimitrov has racked up multiple achievements. His standout season came in 2017 when he won the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and the prestigious ATP Finals. He’s also reached the semifinals of three Grand Slam tournaments – Wimbledon in 2014, the Australian Open in 2017, and the US Open in 2019.

To date, he has notched 25 wins over players ranked in the ATP top 10, including victories against Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Carlos Alcaraz – whom he defeated at the 2024 Miami Open.
