Last Sunday saw Carlos Alcaraz crowned the new Roland Garros champion after defeating Alexander Zverev. The significance of the victory was a constant theme of the day, given that the tournament was a territory once dominated by his compatriot, Rafa Nadal.

The young star shone on the Paris clay court before a fantastic finale saw him walk away with the trophy. However, it was not just the glistening silver of the cup that was catching the eye, but also the shiny gold wrapped around his wrist.

Which watch was Alcaraz wearing at Roland Garros?

The timepiece in question is a product of the luxury watch brand Rolex, of which Alcaraz is an ambassador. The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is a watch that we have seen the Spaniard wear on several occasions, most notably following his victory at Wimbledon in 2023, as well as his first victory in a Grand Slam: the 2022 US Open.

Carlos Alcaraz chose a Cosmograph Daytona for his wrist with many details that make it unique. Made of 18-karat yellow gold, it is the stunning dial that draws a lot of attention. Curiously, the watch is not available directly from Rolex, but rather can only be purchased through specialised websites.

The main thing about this watch is that the dial is “meteorite grey”, including three black chronographs (hours, minutes and seconds) inside. The watch is held by an Oysterflex bracelet, made of black rubber with a yellow gold buckle, and a ceramic bezel.

Furthermore, this watch, as it has outstanding details than the standard model does not, means the price is higher than the standard version, hovering between $90,000 and $102,000, while the classic version generally sits at around $30,000.
