How much does it cost to run the Boston Marathon and what are the requirements for entering?
Thinking of running the Boston Marathon? Here is the list of requirements to qualify and the amount that it will cost you.
For a great many people, the non-runners specifically, the lasting image of running a marathon is somebody dressed as Darth Vader or Superman at the starting line running for charity or to celebrate having the all-clear from cancer.
And while these participants are indeed there, if they are affiliated with one of the marathon’s official charities, for the vast majority of people, you will need to take it seriously in order to take part.
The requirements are that you must be at least 18 years old at the time of the marathon, have completed a certified full-length outdoor marathon within a time limit based on your sex and age, and pay the entry fee.
The entry fee is $225 for US residents and $235 for residents of all other countries.
Here are the full list of qualifying times.
