How much prize money does the winner get at the 2024 Shriners Children's Open?
The PGA Tour’s fall season continues with the completion that will take place from October 17th to 20th at the beautiful TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
The current champion, Tom Kim, will defend his back-to-back titles at the fourth tournament of the FedEx Cup Fall series.
This event, known as the Shriners Children’s Open, is one of eight tournaments taking place at this time of the season. It is the last chance for the professionals to secure their TOUR cards for the next season.
What’s the prize money at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open?
Last year, in an incredibly exciting tournament, Tom Kim successfully defended his title by finishing two shots ahead of Adam Hadwin, securing a grand prize of $1,512,000 from a total purse of $8.4 million.
This year, the prize money has decreased to $7 million, with the winner set to claim $1.26 million and the runner-up receiving $763,000. Despite the reduced payout, it remains the highest in men’s professional golf this week, surpassing the $3.25 million offered in the DP World Tour’s Andalucia Masters.
In addition to the lucrative prize money, the FedEx Cup Fall offers players the chance to secure places in the top 125 of the FedEx Cup standings, guaranteeing them full PGA Tour cards for the 2025 season.
For players who have already secured their cards, there is the Aon Next 10, which consists of the top 10 players on the FedEx Cup Points List who are not yet eligible for the signature events. At the conclusion of the FedEx Cup Fall, these successful 10 players will earn spots in the 2025 signature events, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational.
