The rescheduled bout between the 27-year-old YouTube star-turned-boxer Paul and the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion Tyson was streamed live on the Netflix platform and staged in front of a sold-out crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

However, many fans were left disappointed by the intensity of the fight with Tyson struggling and unable to generate any solid offensive threat against his younger opponent, landing just 18 punches to Paul’s 78.

“First and foremost, Mike Tyson - it’s an honor to be able to fight him,” said Paul. “This is the biggest event, over 120 million people on Netflix. We crashed the site, The biggest U.S. boxing gate, $20 million, in U.S. history, and everyone is next on the list.”

Phil Collins inspired

The boxing entrance song plays a major role in the spectacle of any big fight with many boxers going for a safe bet in the Rocky inspired ‘Eye of the Tiger’ by Survivor.

‘Here Comes the Hot Stepper’ by Jamaican one-hit-wonder Ini Kamoze is another staple of ‘ring walk’ classics with the likes of Tina Turner’s ‘The Best’ or AC/DC’s ‘Thunderstruck’ iconic songs when it comes to pre-bout action.

Ahead of Friday’s AT&T Stadium fight in Dallas, Jake Paul opted for a more melancholy groove as he entered the arena in a custom green Chevy truck accompanied by brother Logan to the strains of Phil Collins classic ‘In the Air Tonight’.

Both brothers sang along to the lyrics as the track grows to a Collins drum break crescendo as the custom Chevy moved slowly to the ring.

The track was released by Collins (the former drummer with English rock band Genesis) in 1981 from his debut solo album ‘Face Value’.
