Update:
Quarterfinal spots are up for grabs at Indian Wells, and top players Taylor Fritz, Daniil Medvedev, and Coco Gauff will be in action at Tennis Paradise.

The show goes on at Indian Wells after another great day of tennis. On Day 8, there are a few US representatives that will try to keep progressing in the tournament, considered by many as the ‘fifth Grand Slam event’.

The solid baseliner Casper Ruud will take on the explosive Gael Monfils in the first game of the day in the men’s category, while the American Emma Navarro will be looking to pull off another upset when she faces Aryna Sabalenka.

Can Luca Nardi keep up the momentum and get another impressive win against Tommy Paul? The young Italian recorded one of the biggest upsets in tennis’ recent history when he eliminated Novak Djokovic in his last game and many are wondering if he will be able to play at the same level against Paul.

The Daniil Medvedev-Grigor Dimitrov clash is another one to keep an eye on, as both players are in great shape and the Bulgarian has the game to surprise the Russian, although Meddy is looking to get to his second consecutive final in California.

One of the crowd’s favorite Taylor Fritz will be back in action to take on the talented and hungry Holger Rune in what is expected to be one of the best games of the day.

Cori Gauff is the other big star who is playing today, and after surviving a scare in her debut against Clara Burel, she will battle it out with Elise Mertens, who eliminated Naomi Osaka in her last match.

Maria Sakkari and Daria Kasatkina are favored to emerge victorious in their matches against Diane Parry and Yue Yuan, respectively, but an upset in any of those matches shouldn’t be ruled out.
