Far from being an expert on horse racing, Jason Kelce has some experience in the world of sports and communication. The former Philadelphia Eagles center revealed on the ‘New Heights’ podcast who he would pick to win the 2025 Kentucky Derby.

His analysis wasn’t too profound and his research was inexistent, but who knows? Maybe he picked the winner for this year’s Kentucky Derby by choosing the name which he liked the most. The 20 horses have been named and at this point, the fans attending the race are picking out their hats, dresses and suits and buying up their ingredients to make mint juleps. It’s that time of year again and May 4 is almost here.

Who did Jason Kelce pick to win the 2025 Kentucky Derby?

The elder Kelce brother made his pick on Wednesday’s podcast and told the ‘New Heights’ listeners that his pick is… Citizen Bull. I’m not sure if Kelce even knew that the favorite to win was Citizen Bull, but that’s not guarantee to win. The last No. 1 pick to win was Ferdinand in 1986.

We’ll have to wait and see if Jason’s insight into horse racing is as good as his knowledge of pro football. It’s doubtful, but sometimes good intuition works better than having too much information, which is definitely not his case.
