Not Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner: This is the pro tennis player with the most prize money in 2025
The French Open is underway at Roland Garros with Aryna Sabalenka highly fancied to win the women’s singles competition.


When it comes to the biggest earner in the tennis circuit this year, one name dominates and surpasses the likes of Alcaraz, Sinner and Djokovic.
With $4.54 million in tournament winnings, Belarus player Aryna Sabalenka is this year’s leader in tennis prize money through to May 23.
The women’s world No. 1 started the year with a win in Brisbane but did slip-up the Australian Open final in January.
Since that disappointment, Sabalenka has gone on to win the Miami Open and the recent Madrid Open, earning more than $1 million for each victory.

French Open anticipation
With the French Open now underway, women occupy six of the top 10 spots on the prize money rankings. The tournament’s total purse at Roland Garros offers approximately $63 million is divided equally between men and women, just like the other three Grand Slam events, which award the largest sums on the calendar aside from the tours’ finals.
