Players Championship 2025 at TPC Sawgrass Round 2 Friday tee times and pairings
Lucas Glover, JJ Spaun and Camillo Villegas lead the way at the end of the opening round, with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy making solid starts.


Lucas Glover, JJ Spaun and Camillo Villegas share the lead at TPC Sawgrass at the end of the first round of the highly-anticipated Players Championship 2025, the PGA Tour’s flagship event.
The trio fired their way to the top of the leaderboard by close of play on the opening day thanks to first-round 66s for a score of 6-under par.
Glover, Spaun and Villegas leads the way from Rory McIlroy, Min Woo Lee, Billy Horschel and Akshay Bhatia, who are lurking just one shot behind.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who won the event in 2023 and 2024, started his bid for a hat-trick of victories with a 3-under par 69, which has him in a tied for 18th.
