Ryder Cup day 3 final scores for Team USA vs Team Europe retains trophy at Bethpage Black
Europe held off a stunning singles fightback from Team USA to win the Ryder Cup for the ninth time in 12 tournaments.

Team Europe retained the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black on Long Island, New York, winning 15-13 after Sunday’s dramatic singles session.
Never before in the history of the tournament had one team had such a commanding advantage going into the final day, but that didn’t put off the USA, who rallied to take the tension up to new heights as the action went on.
In the end, despite the comeback, Irishman Shane Lowry tied Russell Henley at the final hole to push Europe over the edge and get them past the holy grail of 14 points that they needed.

Viktor Hovland pulls out of singles, match tied
There had been some doubt whether Viktor Hovland would be able to compete in his match against Harris English, scheduled at the bottom of the order.
The Norwegian withdrew from Saturday afternoon’s four-balls session after hurting his neck during the morning foursomes. He has been deemed unfit to play, which means his match against English won’t take place and goes down as a tie.
