The countdown to his comeback to the ring is coming to an end. Boxing star Teófimo López will face Pedro Campa at the Resorts World Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday 13 August.
López saw potential megafight options against Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis ruled out after losing his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles to George Kambosos Jr. last November.
As for his opponent, it’s the biggest fight of Campa’s career. The Mexican has fought 36 times as a professional and has recorded 34 victories.
His only career loss was suffered by TKO, but he has bounced back in fine fashion since then. He recorded a 24th professional victory by knockout in his previous fight, by stopping Carlos Sánchez in March.
