The Panthers defend their home and even the series against the Rangers

The Florida hockey players won game 4 of the Eastern Conference final series against the New York Rangers on their home ice 3:2 and tied the series at 2:2.

The intense rivalry between the two major teams rages on. The visiting New York team had a golden opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series and secure the match point at Madison Square Garden with a double break. However, the Panthers managed to hold their ground, but they still faced the pressure of having to break again.

In a dramatic turn, Sunrise, Florida, became a metaphorical sunrise for the Panthers, who had been in a dark place after their loss in Game 3. The pivotal moment came from Sam Reinhart, who delivered the winning goal just 72 seconds into overtime, sparking jubilation among the Panthers’ fans.

In the ninth minute, the Rangers surged ahead with a goal from Trocheck, taking the lead. The score remained 0-1 until the 29th minute when the game turned on its head. Goals from Bennett and Verhey propelled the score to 2-1 by the 33rd minute.

The excitement didn’t stop there. Lafreniere scored at the beginning of the third period, leveling the score at 2-2. This was the score at the end of the regulation 60 minutes, only for Reinhart to clinch victory in overtime, securing another game in Sunrise.
