Update:

The countdown is very much underway as the 2025 Ryder Cup will be held from September 26-28, 2025, at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York.

The event is one of the most prestigious events in golf, a biennial men’s competition pitting a 12-member team from the United States against a 12-member team from Europe. Unlike most professional golf tournaments which are individual stroke-play events, the Ryder Cup is a team competition played in a match-play format which means that instead of a total score for all 72 holes, the winner is determined by which team wins more individual matches.

Team USA prepare

With the tournament just weeks away, ten of the twelve members of the USA Ryder Cup team are competing at the Procore Championship in California as part of their preparation for the upcoming tournament with two notable absentees from the event at the Silverado Country Club.

Xander Schauffele: The 31-year-old is skipping the event to take some time away from golf as he has endured a turbulent season and failed to qualify for the Tour Championship, so he is prioritizing rest and personal time ahead of the Ryder Cup.

Bryson DeChambeau: He is ineligible to play in PGA Tour events, including the Procore Championship, because of his status as a member of the LIV Golf League.
