Who has qualified for the 2023 British Open so far? What LIV players have exemptions?
The Open is just around the corner. All eyes will be on Royal Liverpool from July 20 - 23 as the world’s best golfers compete in the fourth and final major tournament of the year.
The field is set and, although some of the biggest names in LIV Golf will be at the British Open, several top golfers who decided to join the Saudi-backed tour won’t be competing this year. Sergio Garcia won’t be at Royal Liverpool. It’s the first time in 25 years the Spaniard won’t be playing at the British Open. Other legends from Europe’s Ryder Cup team like Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Paul Casey, Graeme McDowell and Martin Kaymer will be watching the action on TV.
The world’s best golfers will be tested at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club from July 20 - 23. All eyes will be on Rory McIlroy, who has been so close to winning lately and is looking to find the magic that got him the Claret Jug at this course in 2014. Jon Rahm is another favorite along with Scottie Scheffler and Rickie Fowler. It’s going to be four exciting days of golf for fans of the game all over the world.
