Who made the cut at the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open? What big names won’t be playing this weekend?
As the Genesis Scottish Open moves to the weekend, there are some big names still in the hunt, and some who are all out.
The 2023 Genesis Scottish Open is moving from the preliminary stage to the serious competition. Sitting at the top of the leaderboard is a familiar name, the face of PGA Golf for many, Rory McIlroy at ten under par.
Sniffing around at just a few strokes back is Scottie Scheffler, Padraig Harrington, and Rickie Fowler, among others. The top of the table is tightly packed and there are any number of world class players who could topple McIlroy from his perch.
But just as the top is packed, there are a number of great players for whom under par wasn’t good enough. Players like Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Sungjae Im, Luke Donald, Jordan Spieth, Francesco Molinari, Pablo Larrazábal, and Rasmus Hojgaard all missed the cut.
Here is the full list of players still in the competition.
