Who will be in Canelo Alvarez’s corner in the fight against Terence Crawford?
We’ve been waiting for this for a while, and while much of the focus is inside the ring, other voices matter.

The bright lights of Las Vegas are ready. On Saturday night, Canelo Álvarez defends his crown against Terence Crawford in a blockbuster super-middleweight clash at Allegiant Stadium, with five world titles and boxing history on the line. But before the first punch is thrown, there’s a focus on who will be guiding the Mexican superstar from ringside.
Canelo’s long-time trainer: Eddy Reynoso
Álvarez, who turned 35 in the summer, has been the undisputed force at 168 pounds for years, and much of that stability comes from his long-time trainer and confidant, Eddy Reynoso. The Guadalajara native has been in Álvarez’s corner since his teens, masterminding his rise from Mexican prospect to global pay-per-view king. Reynoso’s calm authority and tactical acumen will again take center stage on Saturday, setting the rhythm for Álvarez’s combinations and counters.
Beside him will be father and gym founder José “Chepo” Reynoso, the man who first nurtured Álvarez’s professional career and continues to provide support. Together, the Reynoso team has built one of the most successful training outfits in boxing.
108 combined Fights. Zero official knockdowns. A once-in-a-lifetime fight.

Who is Terence Crawford’s trainer?
In the opposite corner, Crawford will be flanked by Brian “BoMac” McIntyre, the Omaha trainer who has steered him to world titles across three weight classes.
With Álvarez weighing in at 167.5 pounds, identical to Crawford, the stage is perfectly balanced. The UFC’s Dana White has already declared the card the third-highest-grossing in boxing history, trailing only Mayweather–Pacquiao and Mayweather–McGregor. The stakes could hardly be higher: Canelo defending his empire, Crawford chasing immortality as the first man to unify three divisions in the four-belt era.
On fight night, the spotlight will shine on two men in the ring… but the voices from each corner could decide how history is written.
