Al Ahly vs Inter Miami, 2025 Club World Cup: how to watch the opening game on TV, stream in the U.S.
The opening game of the inaugural 32 team FIFA competition kicks off in Florida on June 14th.


With LAFC sealing the final place in the 32 team tournament after beating Club America in Los Angeles, the stage is now set for Gianni Infantino’s ambitious project where 32 of the world’s biggest clubs battle it out in the United States.
The 32 teams are placed in eight groups of four with the top two progressing, in a format a-la-the World Cup.
European big guns, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Champions League winners start as leading favourites with the tournament winding up on July 13 at Metlife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.

The tournament will also serve FIFA well as as an interesting logistical acid test for the 2026 World Cup which will be hosted in the United States along with Mexico and Canada.
Group A
By virtue of winning the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield, Inter Miami are one of the three U.S. teams in the competition and the Herons open the tournament with a home clash against Al Ahly (Egypt). Javier Mascherano’s men then face FC Porto and wind up their Group A campaign against Brazilian outfit Palmeiras.

When is the CWC opening game?
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup opener between Al Ahly and Inter Miami will be played, Saturday, June 14, at the Hard Rock Stadium (Miami). Kick-off in Florida is scheduled for 8pm ET/5pm PT.
