Apple TV have confirmed that their six-part docuseries focusing on Lionel Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami is set for global release on 11 October.

After over twenty years gracing the biggest stages in Europe with FC Barcelona and later Paris Saint-Germain, the Argentine finally secured the holy grail that had eluded him as he captained the Albiceleste to winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Despite heavy interest from the Saudi Pro League to secure the Rosario native’s services, the striker decided to open a new chapter in his career by moving to MLS side Inter Miami CF earlier this summer.

The Argentine made an immediate impact at the club helping the Herons win the Leagues Cup (and the club’s first ever major silverware) in August, scoring nine goals through six games with the club.

Messi Meets America will showcase the Argentine getting to know his new Inter Miami family and life in South Florida as he leads the team to Leagues Cup glory as “Messi Mania” sees an unprecendented interest in soccer across the US.

“I couldn’t be happier coming to Miami and joining such an amazing group of people and organization,” said Messi. “I’m joining with the desire to compete, win and help the club continue to grow. I also think we’re going to really enjoy ourselves, have a good time and that very special things are going to happen.”
