Barça eyeing Brazil’s next prodigy

Xavi Hernández wants to strengthen the offensive line next season with young talent, and the chosen one is, like Endrick, one of the youngest Brazilian talents.

Update:
Xavi Hernández wants to strengthen the offensive line next season with young talent, and the chosen one is, like Endrick, one of the youngest Brazilian talents.

There’s still half a season left before the end of the 2022-23 calendar, but Barcelona don’t want to wait to work on their future squad.

Xavi Hernández and his team are looking for talented candidates to eventually play alongside Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembélé, and co., as the team will need plenty of options up front given the number of official games in the soccer calendar.

The Catalan giants were undoubtedly one of the teams with the most complete offensive line. Still, some players ended up leaving, like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and some others like Raphinha, Ansu Fati, and Ferran Torres haven’t performed as expected.

Barça looking for ‘their Endrick’

Els Blaugranes are also interested in rejuvenating their squad, as their archrivals Real Madrid are doing with the signings of Vinicius, Rodrygo, and now Endrick in the attack.

The Catalans, who have been prevented from signing any players in the January transfer window by La Liga’s Financial Fair Play regulations, have set their sights on Atletico Paranaense talent Vitor Roque as one of their possible additions for the summer, according to Catalan sports newspaper Sport.

After not being able to land Endrick, Barça are determined to sign Roque, although many big European teams are also willing to include the Brazilian prodigy to their squads, including Real Madrid and PSG.

The 17-year-old rising star, currently playing at the U20 Sudamericano tournament in Colombia, has often been compared to Luis Suárez due to his strength and ability to score.
