FC Barcelona start their preparation for the 2022-23 season on 4 July, this is the date that has been set by the club for all first team players to report at the club’s training ground in Sant Joan Despi. After a few days of light training in the Catalan capital, Barça will then embark on a tour of the United States with four games currently earmarked later in the month of July. The highlight of the tour will be a Stateside Clasico against Real Madrid, with this game set to be played in Las Vegas with the exact date and kick-off time yet to be confirmed. The last time Madrid and Barça played in the United States was back in August 2017 in Miami and despite the Barça win, the game coincided with the day that Neymar confirmed his move to PSG.
Barça hope to raise around 10 million euro from the tour and upon their return will have just under two weeks ahead on the new 2022-23 season which kicks off on 12 August.
