On Saturday, Polish outlet Meczyki reported that Barcelona had made their first offer to Bayern Munich for Robert Lewandowski, without specifying the amount.

After the reports in Poland of the offer to Bayern for the striker, Mundo Deportivo has confirmed that the offer was for €32 million and the clubs are in talks.

The German club have rejected the Blaugrana’s first offer and have continually said that Lewandowski will see out the final year of his contract.

This was the first bid from Barça, and more are expected, as they seek to reach an agreement with Bayern despite the resistance of club president, Herbert Hainer, and club CEO and former goalkeeper, Oliver Kahn.

Lewandowski wants out

The player’s agent, Pini Zahavi, last week met with the German club to inform them that his player had decided not to renew his contract with Bayern and that he wanted to look for a way out. This time, however, it has been Barcelona’s representatives who have negotiated directly with Bayern’s directors.

Despite the German side’s refusal, both parties will continue to hold talks, given that Lewandowski’s desire, as of today, is none other than to play at Camp Nou next season.
