Barcelona ready for move from Camp Nou to Montjuïc
Barcelona will move stadium as work is carried out on Camp Nou.
Barcelona have informed the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) that their first team will play their home games at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys from next season, something the federation must notify UEFA about.
The venue will host domestic and European competition matches from the 2023-24 season.
Redevelopment of Camp Nou
The stadium move comes at a time when Barcelona are negotiating a financing deal worth around €1.5 billion with various investment funds to carry out work on the Espai Barça, the project to redevelop Camp Nou and its surroundings.
If the loan is secured, Barcelona will begin work this summer on the remodelling of Camp Nou, which will see the men’s first team to play their home games at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys until November 2024, when they are due to return to Camp Nou.
