Burnley vs Manchester City: How to watch on TV and stream online in the U.S.
Manchester City have a chance to take the league lead tonight from Turf Moor as Burnley look for an unlikely with relegation closing in on them.
Massive match from Turf Moor tonight as one team looks to take control of the league lead while another hopes to snatch an unlikely three points in their fight against relegation. It’s Manchester City taking on Burnley with heavy implications involved on both ends of the table.
City rolling since January
Manchester are coming off of a decisive win over Arsenal at the Etihad over the weekend and now they have a chance to take the lead from the Gunners who have been at the top of the table for more than 200 days this season. Tonight, Pep Guardiola’s men have a chance to do something that seemed almost impossible a few months ago.
They trialed by nine points not too long ago, but a couple slip ups in the league have cost Arsenal important points during this final stretch and now City have a chance to pounce in Burnley tonight. A win would draw them level with the Gunners at 70 points, but a win by two goal or more would give City the goal differential tie break which would put them at the top of the table.
The road to the top hasn’t been easy, but City haven’t lost in the league since their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City in mid January. Eight wins and two draws in that span have them in position to take the lead over Arsenal tonight from Burnley.

Desperation mode for Burnley
The Clarets come into this match knowing there is no margin for error for the rest of the year. Currently sitting in 19th in the league table, Burnley is in danger of going right back down to the Championship after getting promoted last year.
They are 13 points behind West Ham who are sitting right above the relegation zone in 17th place with 33 points. Tottenham are in 18th with 31, and Burnley could see their chance at salvation disappear this week.
City haven’t lost to Burnley in the Pep Guardiola era. Their last lost to the Clarets came in 2015 when George Boyd scored the one and only goal in a historic 1-0 win over City. City were in a title chase that year and Burnley were looking for salvation. In the end, neither City were able to win the title nor were Burnley able to avoid relegation.
