Matchday 5 in the UEFA Champions League gets underway today, with Groups E, F, G and H all in action in Europe’s top competition.
Group E
Chelsea currently lead Group E with two matches remaining. Graham Potter’s side take on Salzburg in Austria, while the other fixture in the group sees Dinamo Zagreb host AC Milan.
Group F
Real Madrid have already progressed to the last 16 of the competition and the reigning champions travel to Germany to play RB Leipzig. Carlo Ancelotti will have to do without key players Luka Modric, Fede Valverde and Karim Benzema. Celtic, with just one point at the time of writing, welcome Shakhtar Donetsk to Glasgow.
Group G
Borussia Dortmund welcome former player Erling Haaland and Manchester City to the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday. City are group leaders, three points ahead of the Bundesliga side. Pep Guardiola’s side are through to the round of 16 and will claim first place if they avoid defeat. Sevilla take on FC Copenhagen in the group’s early kickoff. Both sides have only managed to pick up two points from their opening four matches.
Group H
PSG and Benfica are joint-top of Group H with two games to play. Juventus are in third place after a humiliating defeat to Maccabi Haifa on Matchday 4. Portuguese giants Benfica face the Italian side tonight, while in Paris, PSG will play bottom of the group Maccabi.
