Chucky Lozano facing consequences for asking to leave Napoli
Lozano’s contract ends in the summer of 2024 and if he does not reach an agreement with Napoli, he can enter talks with suitors in January.
For several seasons, Hirving Lozano has been one of Napoli’s best players, contributing with goals and assists in important matches and also in international competitions. Now, the Mexican player is hoping to leave the Italian club for a new challenge in another league.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lozano has an offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli, who are offering Napoli $35million and a considerable salary increase for the player.
Lozano relegated to bench
Prior to the game against Frosinone, the former PSV Eindhoven player informed the club of his desire to leave and he was subsequently relegated to the substitutes’ bench, with his place taken by Giacomo Raspadori. Club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is unhappy with the fact that his representatives and the player himself don’t want to renew his contract with a decrease in salary.
It is worth mentioning that Lozano’s contract ends in the summer of 2024 and if he does not reach an agreement with Napoli, the Mexican attacker will be able to enter talks with clubs from January. The former Pachuca player joined Napoli in 2019 and since then has won the Italian Cup and the Serie A title.
