How will the Copa del Rey draw work?

The highest-ranked teams will be paired against the lowest-ranked available opposition. For example, a club from Segunda RFEF (as is the case of Arandina and Barbastro), the fourth tier of the Spanish league pyramid, is guaranteed to face a top-flight side.

When will the ties be played?

The round-of-32 ties, which will be single-elimination matches involving extra time and penalties if necessary, are scheduled to be played on 5,6 and 7 January 2024.

In each tie, the team from the lower division will be at home. If both clubs are from the same tier, home advantage will be decided during the draw.
