Cristiano Ronaldo adds Saudi Pro League title to his honours list. How many countries has he won the league in? Who has won the most?
Al Nassr bagged their first SPL title in seven years after edging out direct rivals Al Hilal.

Since joining Al-Nassr in 2023, major silverware has eluded Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker did win the Arab Club Champions Cup (2023), but as of the current 2025–26 season, he has yet to win the Saudi Pro League title, notably finishing as runner-up in previous campaigns.
That all changed on Tuesday night as his Al Nassr side finally bagged the SPL title for the first time in seven years and did so with a win over city rivals and sporting nemesis in recent years Al Hilal.

On a charged evening at Al-Awwal Park, the yellow and blue side of Riyadh prevailed with a 1-0 with the only goal of the night coming in the first half as defender Mohamed Simakan struck for the home side. With the win, and with two games outstanding for second placed Al Hial to complete the season, Al Nassr are mathematically 2025/26 champions.

CR7 adds SPL title to honours list
Cristiano Ronaldo has now won league titles in four different countries. He is famously the first player in history to win the top domestic league in England with Manchester United, Spain with Real Madrid and in Italy with Juventus.
The five time Ballon d’Or winner has an impressive title haul winning silverware with United, Los Blancos and with Juve.

Most major league wins
As things stand, João Cancelo has made history by becoming the first player to win league titles in four of Europe’s “Big Five” leagues (England, Spain, Italy, and Germany).
Following Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Real Madrid last Sunday the Portuguese player has now won league titles with the following clubs: Benfica (2014), Juventus (2019), Bayern Munich (2023), Man City (2021, 2022 and 2023), FC Barcelona (2026).
By securing the 2025–26 La Liga title, Cancelo surpassed players like Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo by winning league titles in four of the five major European leagues (England, Italy, Germany, and Spain). The only one remaining for him to “complete the set” is France’s Ligue 1.
