Cristiano Ronaldo points frustrated finger at Al Nassr coach

As the Saudi season nears its end, the Portuguese superstar appears to be unhappy with Rudi García and how the team is playing.

Update:
As the Saudi season nears its end, the Portuguese superstar appears to be unhappy with Rudi García and how the team is playing.

Last time out in the Saudi league, Al Nassr’s draw against Al Feiha revealed Cristiano Ronaldo’s frustration and we saw him critical of others. Throughout the game, he was seen gesturing and addressing his opponents due to their defensive tactics and time-wasting strategies. This draw, played at home against a mid-table team, has complicated Al Nassr’s aspirations of becoming domestic champions.

Al Nassr woes frustrate Ronaldo

Currently, it’s Al Ittihad who leads the championship by three points from Al Nassr, with only seven games left to play. Al Shabab and Al Hilal follow, but they seem to be struggling to catch up.

It appears that the race for the title will be a two-way battle between the leader and co-leader, and Cristiano, for one, is determined not to make any more mistakes. According to the Saudi press, the Portuguese star is dissatisfied with the approach of coach Rudi García and the team’s level of play and he believes that there is potential to perform at a much higher level and win the title.

Rudi García had already taken charge of Al Nassr before Cristiano arrived after the World Cup. Although Cristiano has scored 11 goals in 10 games under García’s leadership, it has not been enough to propel Al Nassr to the top of the Saudi league. The draws against Al Feiha and Al Fateh, as well as the defeat against Al Ittihad, have dimmed their chances. Additionally, they also lost the Super Cup when they were knocked out in the semifinals. All of this has left Cristiano frustrated with the team’s collective performance, despite his individual relative success.
