Cruz Azul is not wasting any time. The club and is already hard at work defining its squad for the Apertura 2023 with the tournament due to get underway on 30 June. Among the many tasks they have over the next few weeks, one of the most important is drawing up a list of players who are no longer required. Four players could leave the institution in the coming weeks, in addition to those who are coming to the end their contracts.

According to ESPN, Cruz Azul’s transfer list includes: Rafael Baca, Iván Morales, Ramiro Carrera and Jaiber Jiménez. Jiménez meanwhile, could join an Liga Expansion team, the same source claimed.

Other players will also be on their way out in an extensive clear-out: Ramiro Funes Mori, Gonzalo Carneiro, Michael Estrada and Joaquín Martínez will not continue at Cruz Azul after being released by the board of directors.
