The new era of Brazil is about to begin. Dorival Junior will face two important matches in his debut as the new coach of the Seleção, firstly against England (23 March) at Wembley and then against Spain (26 March) at the Santiago Bernabéu. Two of Europe’s top teams at two of the greatest sporting venues. The coach has carried out an unprecedented revolution in his first call-up, with Endrick as the cornerstone of the new generation alongside Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, his future teammates at Real Madrid.

Endrick tastes Madrid with Brazil

The Palmeiras player spoke to the CBF, the Brazilian federetion, upon his arrival at the London training camp for the first match against Jude Bellingham’s Three Lions.

“By playing video games, I know both stadiums [Wembley and the Santiago Bernabéu]. It will be incredible to see how majestic they are, how grand they are, how many people they hold... So, knowing that I am going to play in these two stadiums is going to be wonderful,” Endrick explained. “These will be two very special matches due to the history of these stadiums. I hope it will be wonderful. I am sure we will get two victories from there.”

Brazil will debut at Wembley on their European tour, but it is the match in Madrid that will grab more headlines. The second match for the Palmeiras forward will be even more special, his debut at the Santiago Bernabéu, which will be his home from next summer, in support of his future teammate Vinicius Jr. The player from Taguatinga already knows what the Madrid stadium is like (he visited last Christmas and even attended a match against Villarreal), but he has never entered it as a player before.

Furthermore, Endrick shared his expectations regarding the new phase opening up in Brazil with the arrival of Dorival Junior, where he is expected to be the new star of a Brazil that has struggled in recent years.

“It’s going to be a good period with a new team, a new coach, a new staff. Everything is new. I hope I can contribute with everything that is asked of me. But not only me, also all my teammates,” explained the player. “I hope they can be two incredible matches, which includes us coming away with the victory.”
