After five full matchdays of the Liga MX’s Clausura 2026 tournament, only four teams remain unbeaten. Chivas Guadalajara, Pumas, Toluca, and Tijuana have preserved their undefeated status and established themselves as the most consistent sides in the early stretch of the competition - though their paths and results vary, reflected in their current positions on the league table.
Chivas lead Liga MX after storming start
Guadalajara sits atop the standings with a perfect start. Los Rojiblancos have strung together five straight victories to reach 15 points, placing them firmly in first place. They opened with a 2–0 win over Pachuca, followed by a 1–0 road victory against Juárez. They then edged Querétaro 2–1, earned a hard-fought 3–2 triumph away at Atlético San Luis, and closed the run with a 2–1 win over Mazatlán.
What about the Clausura’s other unbeaten clubs?
Pumas also remain undefeated, though with a different profile: two wins and three draws for a total of nine points, good for fifth place. Los Universitarios played to draws against Querétaro, León, and Atlas, delivered a commanding 4–0 win over Santos at Ciudad Universitaria, and earned a valuable road victory against Tigres.
Toluca, meanwhile, has also avoided defeat and sits on nine points from two wins and three draws, placing Los Diablos Rojos in sixth. They claimed a victory in Monterrey, beat Santos at home, and split points in matches against Tigres, Puebla, and Cruz Azul.
Finally, Tijuana rounds out the list of unbeaten teams with one win and four draws, giving them seven points and a hold on tenth place. The border club drew against América, San Luis, Monterrey, and Puebla, and notched a road victory over Querétaro.
