How much money will Tottenham get for winning the Europa League?
Ange Postecoglou has guided Spurs to a first trophy in 17 years and secured a major financial windfall.

Tottenham Hotspur managed a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the 2024/25 Europa League final, making good on head coach Ange Postecoglou’s promise of silverware.
The enigmatic Australian has repeatedly told fans that he always wins a trophy in his second season with a team but a horrific domestic campaign left him going into the Wednesday’s final desperately needing a win. A scrappy goal from Brennan Johnson proved enough to get past United and secure Spurs’ first trophy since 2008.
Speaking after the game, Postecoglou said: “I can’t put it into words to be honest. I know what it means to the football club and what it means to the supporters.
“I’ve just had this thing inside me the back half of the year. One focus, one target, i just felt this was it. To achieve it today, I know what it means to the club. It’s had the tag of sort of a nearly team for a long time and the only way you break that is by winning things.”
The triumph not only ends the trophy drought but also sets up Spurs for next season. The Europa League winners automatically qualify for the Champions League, securing a major financial windfall.
The Athletic puts Spurs’ minimum earnings from the 2025/26 Champions League at £60 million ($80m), with extra payments coming their way for each game won. They will also benefit from a significant boost to the brand as they return to the elite competition.
They have also profited from this season’s run in the Europa League. They earned around £30 million ($40m) for making it to the final, and a £5 million ($6.7m) for lifting the trophy. They will also bank about £3 million ($4m) from the UEFA Super Cup in August, when they will take on the winners of this season’s Champions League.
In total, this year’s Europa League triumph will have brought in more than $130 million for Tottenham Hotspur.
