World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso has bid farewell to the club that brought her to Mexico. Via her social media networks, the 33-year-old player said goodbye to Pachuca with reports indicating that she is destined for a move to the Amazonas de Tigres, current Liga MX Femenil champions and the most dominant team in Mexico in recent years.

Hermoso referred to her stay at the Hidalgo state club as “one of the best decisions” she made in her life, adding: “Special thanks to Armando, Jesús and especially Martín for believing in me and inviting me to live this project. Thanks to you and the community you have built, today I am in love with this wonderful country. I will be very proud to have been world champion while wearing the Pachuca shirt,” she concluded.

Tigres bound

Apparently Hermoso’s move to Tigres is a matter of fine-tuning salary and contract details with the player currently back in her native Madrid where she co-hosted ringing in the New Year on national Spanish television.

Tigres are also coached by a Spaniard with Milagros Martínez’s side recently crowned champions for the sixth time in the Mexican championship.
