Jude Bellingham will be involved in the Madrid derby on Sunday. The Englishman was forced to withdraw from Friday’s training session due to a stomach problem, but he now looks set to make his first appearance in a Madrid derby. Carlo Ancelotti was able to work with Bellingham in Saturday’s session ahead of the game against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano. “He will be involved in the game,” said Ancelotti in his pre-match press conference.

Vinícius’ fitness

Vinícius, like Arda Güler, also took part in the session and his recovery has been going well. “If there is a 1% risk, he won’t play,” Ancelotti added when discussing Vinícius’ fitness. But he admitted that the Brazilian will be in the matchday squad. “Vinícius will be called up,” the Italian explained on Saturday.

Carvajal out

The only absentee on Saturday - apart from Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao - was Dani Carvajal, who will miss the clash with Diego Simeone’s men due to a minor hamstring injury. Carvajal also missed the Champions League tie against Union Berlin on Wednesday. Ancelotti called up several youth-team players to take part in Saturday’s session. Hugo de Llanos, Elyaz Zidane, Baba Diocou, Ferran Ruiz and goalkeeper Diego Piñeiro all featured with the first team.
