Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is on Madrid’s radar, but everything suggests that the player himself sees his future elsewhere. According to German outlet Bild, the England international is closer than ever to returning to his native country.

According to Bild, Bellingham’s representatives have already told Real Madrid they are in advanced talks with Liverpool, where manager Jürgen Klopp is convinced that the talented midfielder is the best bet for his midfield. Jordan Henderson (32), James Milner (36) and Spain’s Thiago (31) are in the latter stages of their careers and Klopp sees Bellingham as the best replacement going forward.

Both Bellingham’s agent, Mark Bennett, and his parents, Denise and Mark, also believe that Liverpool is the ideal club to take the next step in his career. The only thing that could complicate the signing of the 19-year-old is the amount Dortmund are asking for before his contract ends in 2025. Dortmund want around €150 million, €50 million more than Liverpool are willing to pay.
