DAZN footage reveals rising tension on Barcelona’s bench as communication issues and heated reactions fuel Lamine Yamal’s visible irritation.

One of the standout images from the match between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona on Saturday was the visible frustration of Lamine Yamal, despite his team leaving the Metropolitano Stadium with a crucial victory. The Barcelona star was not satisfied with his performance or how the game unfolded, and new DAZN footage has shed light on his emotions throughout the second half.

The “Super 8” video begins at the final whistle, showing Barcelona players celebrating what could be a decisive win in their season. Everyone joins in except Yamal, who walks straight to the locker room alone, setting up the now widely discussed touchline exchange with Hansi Flick.

Frustration builds during second half

Earlier footage shows Yamal increasingly frustrated as the second half progresses. At first, he appears engaged and upbeat, exchanging encouraging gestures with teammates. But as the minutes pass, his body language changes noticeably.

He becomes irritated with several refereeing decisions, either for not calling what he believed were clear fouls or for what he viewed as lenient treatment of Atlético Madrid challenges.

Tension with teammates and rising emotion

As frustration grows, teammates such as Pedri and Pau Cubarsi begin asking for the ball more often, but Yamal does not always connect with them. The missed opportunities appear to heighten his annoyance.

At one point, a turnover leads to an Atletico Madrid chance, prompting Yamal to throw his arms up in apparent frustration toward his own teammates. By the 85th minute, his emotions reach a breaking point.

He chooses to finish a Barcelona attack with a long-range shot that flies well off target. Robert Lewandowski is seen exhaling in frustration, while Ferran Torres looks toward the winger. Even more telling is the reaction from the bench, where assistant coach José Ramón de la Fuente gestures emphatically in disapproval.

Final moments and post-match exchange

Yamal responds by pointing toward the stadium scoreboard and raising his arm, signaling his own frustration. On the next play, Lewandowski scores, but Yamal does not celebrate the goal.

At full time, he heads directly to the locker room and crosses paths with Flick. The coach appears to ask what is wrong, to which Yamal reportedly replies, “Tell him,” while pointing toward the Barcelona bench.
