Liverpool hoping the ‘Díaz effect’ can lure Darwin Nuñez
The English club are one of the leading suitors to sign the current Benfica striker and are confident that his adaptation will be like that of the Colombian Díaz.
Liverpool are one of the many leading European clubs in the hunt for Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez, with the forward one of the hottest properties around with his 26 goals in the Portuguese League last season for Lisbon based giants Benfica.
The striker is expected to move to the Premier League with Liverpool and Manchester United apparently in pole position to secure his signature and the Anfield club are anticipating that Núñez would adapt in record time as was the case with Luis Díaz following his January movee from FC Porto to the ‘Reds’. Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Sadio Mané who is expected to leave Anfield over the summer and everything points to the Uruguayan completing an attacking trident with Mo Salah and Diaz.
