Manchester City, who are sitting second in the Premier League standings, continue their chase of leaders Arsenal, who have five more points and keep taking steps forwards to the title after recording another win, this time against Fulham (0-3).
The English side is on a four-game winning streak since their 1-1 draw to Leipzig in their round of 16 first-leg clash. The hosts’ last-16 exit took place in the 2016-17 campaign against Monaco and Guardiola’s pupils will try to avoid a similar outcome on Tuesday.
The good news for Guardiola is that City haven’t lost in 23 Champions League home matches, winning 21 of them.

Meanwhile, the visitors believe they have a real shot at progressing after a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Arena.
The German side, unbeaten in their last five games in the UCL, goes into the game after a convincing 3-0 win over Borussia Mönchengaldbach last weekend.
Marco Rose’s men are currently sitting third in the Bundesliga table with 45 points, tied to Union Berlin and Freiburg, and only behind Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
City defeated Leipzig 6-3 the last time both teams played at Etihad Stadium and all of their three previous meetings ended with both teams finding the back of the net.

Leipzig is one of the most solid Bundesliga teams. They have proven that they can beat anyone in Europe too, as they did against Real Madrid during the group stage.
However, City are one of the main favorites to lift the trophy and have a complete roster led by Haaland, who will be aiming to score in the most important game of his team so far.
