Neymar’s future is looking increasingly further away from Paris. According to the latest reports from RMC Sport, the Brazilian is considering leaving PSG following recent comments made by club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in an interview with Le Parisien, in which he stated that he only wants players who are totally dedicated to the club’s project.

Neymar signed for PSG in 2017 as one of the top players on the planet. But he has been fading over the past couple of seasons - as his performance figures show. He is under contract for another three seasons, but that agreement includes a clause which will be effective from 1 July, automatically renewing his contract until 2027. Finding an outlet for Neymar will be complicated not only for the terms of his contract but also for the salary he earns - exorbitant wages which very few European clubs can afford.

Offers from the Premier League

RMC Sport report that several clubs, are closely monitoring Neymar’s situation. Among them is Chelsea. It was under Thomas Tüchel that Neymar managed to produce his best form during his time at PSG. Manchester United is another option if Cristiano leaves; and Newcastle, with new investment from Saudi Arabia is also a possibility as they would be financially able to conduct such a operation.

Neymar wasn’t too happy about what Al-Khelaïfi told Le Parisien which is why he is now carefully considering whether to stay on at PSG or move elsewhere. He is now longer the focus of the team now that Mbappé has signed a new deal and the next few weeks will be crucial in determining where he plays next season.
