The arduous schedule that Rayados will have for this closing of the Apertura 2023 will force Fernando Ortiz to rotate his team for many games - at least that’s how he sees it. The Argentine coach stressed that he does not know in which games he will make adjustments, but it is a decision made within the coaching department with so many injuries affecting his squad.

“As for the series of matches, surely at some point I will have to look to rotate the team - which games I will do that in, I don’t know,” he said.

For his part, with the wholesale physical discomfort in his players, the Albiazul coach confessed to giving the baton to youth players to take the role of starters and he will not doubt their quality for this, a real challenge for the homegrown players.

If I consider that a young player is ready to play, he will be included - regardless of whose place he takes. Looking at the upcoming fixtures, maybe there will be rotations, I don’t know which game, but I hope I can have them all healthy so that I can have that possibility of rotating,” he added.

The Pandilla have seven games in 21 days, a very tight finish and in which they will have to rack up points if they want to sneak into the top places. Ortiz’s team is currently 10th with 17 points - one point off sixth place and 10 behind leaders América. This is how the next month is looking for Rayados:
