Over 2 million ticket applications for CR7-Messi Riyadh friendly

Cristiano Ronaldo will make is first appearance in Riyadh for a Al Nassr/Al Hilal XI in a friendly game against PSG on 19 January.

Riyadh based Cristiano Ronaldo’s fans are still anxiously waiting for his first match in Saudi Arabia, with his Al Nassr debut on hold due to the player having to serve a two-game suspension imposed on the Portuguese by the FA during his time at Manchester United. CR7′s debut in his new adopted homeland however is edging closer...

Cristiano is expected to play against PSG with the French team set to travel to Saudi Arabia to play a friendly against the combination of stars from Al Nassr and Al Hilal on 19 January as part of the annual Riyadh Season celebrations.

Local fans are excited at the thought of seeing the former Real Madrid, Juve and Man United star take to the field against the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

According to reports from ESPN, sources close to the organization of the exhibition match between the Saudi Pro League sides and PSG claim that more than 2 million applications were received from fans keen to buy tickets for the match with the 68,000 capacity King Fahd Stadium selling out in a matter of minutes.

Secondary ticket market expecting bonanza

Many of the fans who were left without tickets for next Thursday’s friendly are looking for alternative ways to get tickets with the secondary ticketing market set for a bonanza.
