América will only sell Pedro Aquino for the right offer
América have not received any offers for the Peru international.
Club América will only allow Pedro Aquino to leave the club if an interesting offer comes in. At the moment, there are no concrete offers for the Peru international. The player has been linked with a move to Atlas and Santos Laguna in recent hours but no offers have been made.
According to América, the midfielder is considered as one of the most important players at the club, despite having less game time since the arrival of ‘Tano’ Ortiz as head coach.
Baños happy with midfield options
Santiago Baños, América sporting director, is happy with the club’s midfield and therefore they have not approached Fernando Gorriarán, a player who has been linked with the Mexican giants.
“We are complete in that position with Richard (Sánchez), (Álvaro) Fidalgo, Jona (Dos Santos), (Pedro) Aquino, (Diego) Valdés. There has been no approach for Gorriarán. We know that at this time there are a lot of rumours,” Baños told TUDN.
Aquino, who joined América in 2021 and has a contract until the end of 2024, played just 13 games and a total of 466 minutes last season. The midfielder did not score any goals.
