Mexico face Iraq tonight in Girona (Spain) with the game set to be the penultimate test before heading to Qatar next week where El Tri open their 2022 World Cup campaign against Poland. The Central American side then face Argentina before ending their Group C trio of games as they face Saudi Arabia.

Mexico boss Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino is still without many of his European based players who will be released by their respective clubs next weekend. The definitive Mexico squad is expected to be announced on 13 November with the 14th being the ultimate deadline stipulated by FIFA as Martino waits on the latest fitness reports on Wolves striker Raul Jimenez who is still in a race against the clock to be 100% fit ahead of the deadline.
