Little by little, Carlo Ancelotti is recovering players in time for the trip to Cádiz, the next game for Los Blancos in the LaLiga calendar (Sunday 26 November 2023, with kick-off at 12.30 p.m. ET / 9.30 a.m. PT.). In the third session of the week, almost all the remaining internationals returned: Modric, Alaba, Rüdiger and Rodrygo, who played last Tuesday. Only Fede Valverde was missing from the squad session at the training ground.

The Uruguayan will join back with the side on Friday, meaning he will only have two training sessions with his teammates before traveling to Cádiz. His other four teammates have slight bumps and bruises, but they will get to the game without any problems: they worked as hard as their bodies allowed and have been focussing on recovery, but there is nothing serious to add to the already extensive injury list at the club.

Which players are fit for Real Madrid against Cádiz?

Some great news for the side from the capital comes in the shape of Jude Bellingham and Dani Ceballos. The midfield pair completed training for the first time with the rest of their teammates and are likely to end up on Carlo Ancelotti’s squad list ahead of the journey south.

The Englishman, the current Golden Boy 2023 and the top scorer of the squad, completed the session on Thursday, the first time he has done so this week. The pain in his shoulder looks as though it has subsided and he will hopefully back on the pitch at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla after missing out against both Braga and Valencia before the international break.

Will Kepa play for Real Madrid against Cádiz?

Another piece of good news for Carlo Ancelotti is the fitness of Kepa Arrizabalaga. The goalkeeper, who got injured in the warmup session ahead of the Champions League match against Braga, was seen exercising on his own on the pitch at the club’s Valdebebas training ground.

Despite this positive development, Lunin is expected to be the starting goalkeeper both in Cadiz and on Wednesday in the Champions League match against Napoli (Wednesday November 29 at 3 p.m. ET / noon PT) in what is the penultimate match day of the group stage.
