Real Madrid starlet Endrick: “I’d really like to stay at Lyon”
The 19-year-old Brazilian scores in Lyon’s latest win and admits he is happy in France, but Madrid still holds control of his future.

Endrick delivered another standout performance this weekend, continuing his strong run in France with Lyon. The Brazilian forward earned an 8.4 rating from Sofascore after playing a key role in Sunday’s matchup against Rennes.
Starting the game, Endrick capped his display with a goal in the 75th minute to seal the result. His impact has not gone unnoticed in France, where there is growing concern about his expected departure once his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
At just 19 years old, the Real Madrid loanee has quickly become a fan favorite, and he is not hiding his own feelings about his situation.
“I would really live to stay. They’re doing everything possible to make me feel good.”

Endrick admits he wants to stay in Lyon
“I don’t know, I’m very happy here, I feel great,” Endrick said after the game. “Will I stay? I’m on loan, I’m happy with my teammates, everything is going really well.”
He stopped short of making any guarantees, but his message was clear.
“You never know what can happen. We’ll see. I leave everything in God’s hands and we’ll see what happens. If I have to stay in Madrid, I’ll stay in Madrid. If I have to renew here, I’ll renew here. I would really live to stay. They’re doing everything possible to make me feel good.”

Faith, family and an uncertain future
Speaking later in the mixed zone, Endrick reinforced that his next step is far from decided.
“As I always say, whether it’s staying here, going back to Real Madrid, or moving somewhere else, I’ll do what God tells me,” he said. “I thank God for bringing me here. I’m very happy to be here. But that’s it, I’ll do what God tells me, and what my wife tells me too.”
Despite his openness to staying, recent reports suggest Real Madrid is planning to bring him back this summer. The club has reportedly already informed him of their intention and continues to show full confidence in his long-term role in the squad.
Petit wants Endrick at Arsenal
Endrick’s form has also attracted attention beyond Spain and France. Former Arsenal and France midfielder Emmanuel Petit has publicly urged the Premier League club to make a move.
“Endrick is so young, only 19,” Petit said. “He’s very talented, very gifted, but he’s like a wild horse with a lot of energy. On the field, sometimes he can be a bit too selfish. But at the same time, he knows he has huge qualities.”
Petit believes the right environment is key to unlocking his potential.
“He needs to be in the right setting to improve and develop because this kid is a diamond. What kind of club would suit him? Given his qualities, I’d love him to come to Arsenal.”
For now, however, Real Madrid remains firmly in control of the situation. Endrick may have admirers across Europe, but his immediate future still lies in the hands of the Spanish giants.
