Real Madrid possible starting lineup against Athletic Club in LaLiga
Carvajal and Alaba will say goodbye to Real Madrid as starters. Valverde returns after his altercation with Tchouameni.

It’s Carvajal’s day. His farewell to Real Madrid. To the Santiago Bernabéu. He’ll say goodbye as a starter before being substituted in the second half. Then will come the Bernabéu’s emotional ovation, followed by a post-match tribute.
The same goes for Alaba. The fact that his contract would not be renewed had been an open secret, but it was officially announced on Friday. He will also start, playing his final match in white after five seasons and two Champions League titles.
All eyes will be on both of them, as well as on the bench, where Arbeloa will also take charge of his final match.

In midfield, Valverde will return 16 days after his violent clash with Tchouameni, an incident that left him with a gash, in a wheelchair, and suffering a head injury. Both players were also fined €500,000. Today, he is expected to start in midfield. Aurélien is not expected to play because of discomfort in his right shin, but Camavinga should partner Valverde, making his first appearance in front of the home crowd since it was confirmed he would miss the World Cup. Brahim and Bellingham are expected to start on the wings, although the latter could be replaced by Thiago.
Up front, Mbappé will be looking to secure the Pichichi Trophy. He leads Muriqi by two goals, with 24 to the pirate’s 22. Alongside him will be Gonzalo, whose future remains uncertain amid summer transfer speculation. Vinicius will not be available after being granted permission by the club to travel to Brazil, possibly in search of playing time.
Real Madrid’s probable lineup against Athletic Club is: Courtois; Carvajal, Asencio, Alaba, Carreras; Brahim, Camavinga, Valverde, Bellingham; Gonzalo, Mbappé.
