Real Madrid team news and matchday squad for LaLiga clash with Celta Vigo
Carlo Ancelotti will be missing two defenders for the league match at the Bernabéu.
Real Madrid will be without David Alaba and Ferland Mendy for their league match with Celta Vigo on Saturday. The defenders were the only absentees that Carlo Ancelotti had to make do without in Friday morning’s final training session ahead of the home game.
The Madrid coach called up full-back Vinícius Tobias from the Castilla squad to complete the squad for the session, but he is not in the matchday squad for the visit of Celta. The Brazilian has yet to make his first-team debut, although he did play 24 minutes in the pre-season friendly against América.
Day off after Champions League win
Friday was the second session that the Italian coach has had to prepare ahead of Saturday. The squad returned to work yesterday after enjoying a day off on Wednesday following their return from playing against Chelsea in London.
Copa del Rey final
Los Blancos now have four consecutive league games ahead of them. After Celta, they have Girona (Tuesday 25 April, 19:30), Almería at the Bernabéu (Saturday 29, 18:30) and Real Sociedad (Tuesday 2 May, 22:00), before playing in the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna and the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.
