Salomón Rondón rescinds River Plate contract to join Pachuca
The Venezuelan forward has an agreement in place with the Tuzos for the next two seasons.

Salomón Rondón formalized his departure from River Plate as a free agent on Wednesday. According to local reports in Argentina, the 34-year-old striker already has everything in place to join Liga MX side Pachuca. The highly experienced Venezuelan forward will sign a contract that will keep him tied to the Mexican club until December 2025.
Personal issues
Apparently, the reason why the player was keen to rescind his contract with River Plate was purely family-related, arguing that both he and his family were unable to adapt to the South American country. Rondón assumed the personal costs to terminate his contract, on which he still had one year to run.
Despite having a high termination clause, valued at $6 million, the situation changed when the player became a free agent, thus facilitating negotiations with Pachuca.
