The young forward is recovering after emergency surgery, but questions remain unanswered following a shocking incident that has shaken Danish soccer.

Teen soccer star stabbed in Denmark: what happened to Alamara Djabi?
Alamara Djabi, a 19-year-old Guinean player for Midtjylland, was stabbed in an attack that has sent shockwaves across Denmark, where the club is based. The player required emergency surgery and remains in stable condition, though his situation is still considered serious. The motives behind the assault remain unknown.
“Alamara Djabi was seriously injured in a knife attack and is now in stable condition after two operations. He has woken from an induced coma and is doing well, given the circumstances,” the club said in a statement posted on social media.
The statement added: “FC Midtjylland is in close dialogue and cooperation with the authorities and is supporting him and his family.”
Djabi had already been sidelined with an injury during what has been a difficult season for the young forward at Midtjylland, a club he joined in 2022 after coming through the Portuguese system.
A product of Benfica’s academy, he impressed during a loan spell at Mafra last season, prompting the Danish side to bring him back. However, the campaign has taken a deeply troubling turn, with this latest incident marking a dramatic and unsettling chapter in his young career.
