The USWNT is already in New Zealand for the 2023 Women’s World Cup where they will seek to win their third consecutive title in the tournament.

The United States National Team has already arrived in New Zealand and will continue preparing for their debut at the Women’s World Cup 2023 next Friday against Vietna. The USWNT have won back-to-back World Cups and looking to complete the three-peat, which would be a first in tournament history.

“We’re here!” that was the message from the USWNT on their Twitter account. The tweet was accompanied by a video of some of the players arriving at the New Zealand airport where there were already some supporters already there waiting greet them with chants and bannners.

The United States Women's National Team is part of Group E, which is made up of Vietnam, Portugal and the Netherlands.

When will they play?

  • Day 1: United States vs. Vietnam / Friday, July 21
  • Day 2: United States vs. Netherlands / Wednesday, July 26
  • Day 3: Portugal vs United States / Tuesday, August 1

The mission is in this edition of the World Cup is the three-peat after having won the last two tournaments in Canada 2015 and France 2019.

No national team have won more World Cups than the USWNT, and they have a chance to add to their record four titles while doing something that has never been done in the history of the competition.
